growing information

Special note

Cooking Tip - Leave 1cm of the stalk, cut off the top quarter of each leaf removing the spike and the thistle from the middle if possible, if not remove after cooking. Boil for 15-30 mins until the outer leaves are tender at the base.

received the artichokes in good order and they are now happily growing on my allotment - all plants were successful so with a bit of luck I'll get to many globes next year. I haven't yet seen any globes this year (Sept 09) - so cross fingers for next year.
