Gooseberry (Jostaberry)

Go Back

This super fruit is a cross between a gooseberry and black currant. It is very resistant to mildew, has no thorns and crops well.

In appearance it is very like a blackcurrant but with fruit twice the size. Can be grown against a wall or trellis.

As well as growing in a fruit garden, these colourful fruits are perfect for growing on your patio.

These make the best jam! especially when mixed with a few red currants and logan berries!

Really pleased with the size of the plant delivered. Much larger than expected.

The flavour of the fruit is like eating two goosberries and one blackcurrant together. The fruit look like huge blackcurrants without the strong scent. Excellent crop, hardy and easy.
