Oregano Seeds Greek
The Very Best For Pesto Flavour!
Beware imitations! Quite frankly, some Oreganos have a poor flavour but this Greek type is strongly flavoured even from its seedling stage.
It is the very best and is incomparable in a huge range of pasta, cheese and meat dishes.
Growing herbs from seed is so easy!
Grow them in the border among your flowers, in a special herb bed, or simply in pots by the back door. You can even grow them on your kitchen windowsill. They are easy to dry and even easier to freeze!

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in warmth 15-20°C (60-70°F) and keep moist.
Growing on / thinning
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant to 8cm (3in) pots, allowing 3 or 4 seedlings per pot.
Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 30cm (12in) between each group of plants. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot for best results.
Special note
Alternatively, sow pinches of seed in 8cm pots, and allow the plants to mature in the pots on a warm windowsill. Harvest leaves from seedling stage onwards, as required.
