Special note

 

Even if you have no greenhouse you can still succeed growing these more tender crops that traditional gardening lore says you have to grow in a greenhouse.

Planted in growing bags (3 per bag), all these varieties will survive and thrive in a conservatory too.

You can also grow them singly in patio pots and, provided you make sure they are not put out until all danger of late spring frosts has passed, they'll then do well on sheltered, sunny terraces, balconies or roof gardens.
