asparagus pea seeds
Jump to: Growing information |
We admit it - it's not asparagus and it's not a pea, but it's rather tasty. If you pick the curiously shaped 'pods' when they are no more than 2cm (1in) long and lightly steam them.
The dwarf plants do not require support and are very easy to grow.
- Attractive flowers

Sowing Outdoors
Prepare ground for sowing by raking to produce an even surface. Sow thinly about one seed every 5cm (2in) in shallow rows which have been watered. Cover lightly with a little soil. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established.

Special note
Pods 2cm (1in) long or less have best flavour. Do not use big pods.
