LAWNS & TROPICAL GARDEN Revival on TV

09 January 2014 | Posted in Gardening by The Unwins Family

LAWNS Sarah Raven was rooting for a Great British Lawn Revival with some  lush green lawns featured.
The groundsman who made such a brilliant job of his workplace lawn confessed that at home he didn't have a lawn to be proud of!
One look at the dedicated gent who was trimming the lawn with scissors probably made it seem a bit like hard work. But Iit doesn't have to be -you can get a sharp edge with a half moon edger, edging shears, or even a strimmer so it doesn't need to be labour intensive.
Little and often seems to be the key to keeping a lawn looking neat especially if you don't have a lot of time to tend the grass. Edging makes a lawn look instantly neat if you don't have time to mow.

Reseed areas of  lawn that are looking the worse for wear in spring.  All our grass seed ranges are quick and easy and perfect for the job.

James Wong was definitely  inspiring with his TROPICAL GARDENS on The Great British Garden Revival. The tropical and exotic looking planting schemes were tremendous and he always makes everything sound so easy to do.
It certainly got us thinking about adding lush planting and exciting plants. We have some excellent summer bulbs such as dahlias and cannas that make any scheme look exotic and Mediterranean trees and palms.
