Chionodoxa - luciliae
Very early to flower - in its native habit in the mountainous regions of Turkey it literally appears from beneath the retreating spring snow.
Also very easy to grow, self-seeding and naturalizing readily. Produces pretty, vivid, violet-blue, starry flowers with a white centre and yellow eye.
