In just the same way that you don't necessarily need acres of space to grow a few vegetables, by choosing the right varieties you can grow a selection of succulent, mouth-water fruit in even the smallest of town gardens. Currants and gooseberries can be grown in a mixed border.
Our Currant Collection includes 1 bush each of:
Ben Sarek - A particularly good variety for the small garden growing into neat, compact bushes about 3ft high.
Rovada - Produces a prolific crop of high quality large fruit of a good flavour. If you have only room for one variety choose Rovada!
Blanka - Heavy cropping variety, with almost transparent ivory-coloured berries in August. The sweet currants make a good medium dry white wine.
