Dahlia Bishop of Dover has gorgeous white and pale pink striped petals. They"re a beauty in the border, acting as the highlights that enhance the colours of other flowers. Not only this, but they"re a splendid flower to enjoy close up too.
The Bishop series is a deservedly popular range of dahlias has some of darkest foliage of all, they produce an abundance of flowers throughout the summer until autumn. The large single flowers are very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects. Superb in the border they make excellent cut flowers too.
Supplied as tubers, they"re delivered in March - April. Once arrived, it"s best to start them off under cover and plant them out in late May after risk of frost has passed. Unearth the tubers in the autumn after the plant has died back and store in a well ventilated, frost free area. They can be re-planted the following spring.
