Dahlia Bishop of Leicester has candy-pink flowers and look similar to a Japanese Anemone, only they"re set above the stunning dark foliage that brings the flowers out and shows them off to their full potential.
The Bishop series is a deservedly popular range of dahlias has some of darkest foliage of all, they produce an abundance of flowers throughout the summer until autumn. The large single flowers are very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects. Superb in the border they make excellent cut flowers too.
Supplied as tubers, they"re delivered in March - April. Once arrived, it"s best to start them off under cover and plant them out in late May after risk of frost has passed. Unearth the tubers in the autumn after the plant has died back and store in a well ventilated, frost free area. They can be re-planted the following spring.
