Dahlia Bishop of York is a such a lovely sunny variety, no garden should be with out it! It"s beautiful yellow single flowers are produced all summer long and are essential for adding warmth to any planting scheme.
The Bishop series is a deservedly popular range of dahlias has some of darkest foliage of all, they produce an abundance of flowers throughout the summer until autumn. The large single flowers are very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects. Superb in the border they make excellent cut flowers too.
Supplied as tubers, they"re delivered in March - April. Once arrived, it"s best to start them off under cover and plant them out in late May after risk of frost has passed. Unearth the tubers in the autumn after the plant has died back and store in a well ventilated, frost free area. They can be re-planted the following spring.
