I bought these grow bags to grow vegetables under glass. I have filled them with top soil rather than compost and as such they are far too heavy to move. The material and stitching holds up well to the weight, although the bags sag outwards a little on the sides. The use of bamboo canes is adequate but it would be nice to have the option to purchase a stronger, purpose made frame, preferably ... [more]with side rods and legs that slot into moulded corner pieces. These deep bags that hold the moisture better than shallow growbags and with the ability to use them year after year they should prove a cheaper long-term option. In conclusion, these are well made bags available at an excellent price which can be filled with the soil or compost of choice, with the option to move the bags during the growing season if filled with a suitable compost. I would definitely recommend these bags to others.

Our school gardening club is using some of its limited resources to buy these in the hope that it will enable us to get a much earlier start to our growing season. The children will be able to plant things up in our new greenhouse and move the bags outside a soon as the weather improves. We will also be able to plant out in September when we go back to school and then move the bags back into the g... [more]reenhouse when and as the weather gets colder. The children will be able to extend the time the gardening club operates. What a great idea. We have used bags in the past but these look as though they will be much easier to move around.

These are great, tough, easily moveable and such a bargain. We moved into town this spring with just a patio - a bit of a change as I'd had a large country garden before! - but these meant I have been able to grow piles of different plants on my patio. From lettuce and herbs, to cosmos, zinnia and nicotiana for cutting, and varied tomatoes - you can grow pretty much anything and we've had so many ... [more]compliments! My sister and sis-in-law soon bought some too!

These bags have proved to be excellent in my greenhouse for growing tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. In addition there is enough space to grow salad vegetables and Pak Choi around the edges, with larger plants in the centre of the bags apparently not suffering from the salad veg. My productivity has incresed significantly since I added these bags, and so far there is no sign of the bags deterior... [more]ating.

great i use them as raised beds next to my fence as my soil is very poor first year but all seeds have sprouted and give better protection to pests i just place a small fence around them to make it look nice be better in green tho and because i live next to a farm i use manure to fill them up and put a top layer of compost in and then place a poly tunnel to keep them warm

I ordered five packs of these Gro-beds (15) to use around the edge of our decking and down the 'wasted' tarmac area down the side side of the house. I am really pleased with the product. They look really good when they are filled, and the size and depth is generous. It takes a lot of soil to fill each Gro-bed, but I have solved this problem by lining each Gro-bed with the turf I have recently lift... [more]ed to make my fruit garden, and have then filled the large 'growing holes' in the upturned turf with home-made compost mixed with composed turf lifted last year. This is a great multiple use of the Gro-beds - it means I have somewhere to stack turf while it is composting, somewhere to grow my many tomatoes, chillies, peppers and aubergines, and a way of using space in my garden that could not otherwise be cultivated. I have managed to grow pumpkins and much more in my grow bags. They fit perfectly on the path next to the greenhouse and look just like raised beds. They're brilliant!

Brilliant! Fantastic idea. I have always hated normal growbags. I was a bit worried about them loosing their shape when filled with soil but they didn't and really held thier shape. Looking forward to enjoying all the produce from them.

Four seasons grow bags can be used to grow almost anything,lettuce,strawberries,raddish,tomatoes and even new potatoes. The list is endless. They can be used in the greenhouse and easily carried outside with the four strong carry handles. The grow bag is 12 inches deep and at £8.95 for three they are a bargain.

what a great idea ,it is cheap ,space saving ,efficent, last's a life time,makes more space in the greenhouse for more produce ,can be moved in or out with little fuss(but a two person job.) and the plants establish them selves much quicker.wished i had thought of this and taken it to the dragon's den.
