Hamburg Parsley - Berliner Seeds
With a taste reminiscent of both celeriac and kohl rabi, Hamburg parsley is an underrated winter vegetable, which will stand in good condition for months.
As easy to grow as parsnips, which it resembles, it is great in soups, casseroles or roasted with the Sunday lunch.

Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered shallow rows, and cover with a little soil. Allow about 40cm (16in) between rows. As seedlings develop, thin them gradually, eventually to about 15cm (6in) apart. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established.
Special note
Roots can be left in the ground until required. Hamberg parsley is best left to mature rather than harvested young as small roots.
