Marigold Naughty Marietta (French)
Marigolds are one of the mainstays of summer bedding schemes, performing well whatever the weather.
The bright yellow blooms streaked with mahogany make Naughty Marietta ideal for massed plantings.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in warmth 15-20C (60-70F), and keep moist.
Growing on / thinning
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm (2in) apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their flowering positions. Allow 20cm (8in) between plants.

I have been very pleased with these Naughty Marietta marigolds, having grown them from seed for the first time this year. I'll be definitely trying them again. They have produced a very colourful display in our back garden for many months now. A pleasure to behold indeed
