Distinctive purple flowers look sensational at the back of a mixed border and theyll be a magnet for pollinating insects.

Plant in spring and early summer into soil that stays reliably moist. Monardas can suffer from mildew in dry soil but Scorpion is a disease resistant variety that is less likely to succumb .Cut off spent flower heads as they fade to prolong the display.

Flowers July-September.
