Nasturtium Alaska Mixed
The bright range of colours are complemented by the cream variegation of the leaves, which ensures plants are attractive even before the flowers appear.
Unlike some nasturtiums, Alaska carries blooms above its foliage.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost, covering seeds with 1cm (1/2in) of compost. Place in warmth 15-25C (60-75F).
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds in pre-watered soil at a depth of 2cm (1in) in their flowering positions. Keep soil moist until seedlings emerge and water as required in dry spells. Thin seedlings to around 30cm (12in) apart.
Growing on / thinning
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm (2in) apart into trays of potting compost, or individually to small pots.
Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their flowering positions. Allow 30cm (12in) between plants.
Special note
Nasturtiums do best in poor soils and without feeding. Flowers and foliage are edible, and good in salads.
