Onion Autumn Gold Improved
A big improvement on our original strain with an excellent flavour!
We found Autumn Gold Improved to have a smoother, rounder shape so it can be prepared with little waste.
The skin finish is glossy and attractive and will impress show judges. Very bolt resistant.
Keeps until well into the spring from a September harvest.
Special Note: Onion sets are simply small, immature onions, which have been lifted and dried to prevent any further growth. Once planted in spring the sets grow in size and each one forms a full-sized bulb when ready to harvest.

Excellent results, very tasty and stored very well and lasted us until early this year
We have grown the Autumn Gold Onions from the sets on our allotment for 10 years now and cannot recommend them highly enough. We have experimented with other sets for a change and never get the same consistent results. Autumn Gold was recommended to us by our now deceased father in law, who was a professional gardener, and he was right - they are by far the best!!
I have ordered some of these onions a few week ago, and I am now planning on preparing my grow bed; which I bought especially for them. However I was wondering if anyone could help me, as I don't know which type of soil to use.
my first year growing veg, these grew to a good size, and the taste was superb, just sorry i dont have more to store!! have already ordered extra sets for next year
This variety has been our mainstay for many years and always produces good-sized onions which keep right through top the next summer
I've never grown onions before and I was really impressed with the size, flavour and quality of the bulbs. They were easy to grow and I shall definately be growing more next year.
