Plum Czar is a fantastic reliable variety, it is a very early fruiting culinary plum tree. It produces unusually large, juicy plum purple-black coloured plums. The fruits have excellent flavour and are nestled within forest green glossy leaves.

The beautiful white blossoms appear in spring and are a delight for any garden, the fruit when it arrives in early August is very versatile. The variety is often used for cooking but it is worth leaving a number of fruits on the tree as if is a delight to eat directly off the tree when it becomes ripe.

This variety is a very popular choice, it is noteworthy for its reliability and very easy to grow. The blossoms have a small amount of frost resistance.

It was awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit. The rootstock that we have grafted this variety on to allows it to be very easily manageable. The variety is self-fertile.
