Deep cream buds shaded red, opening to white with a sugar-pink picotee edge.

The slightly wavy petals are richer pink on the reverse and have an old-fashioned charm in the vase or garden.

growing information

Sowing Indoors

Almost fill 12cm (5in) pots with moist seed compost. Sow five seeds, evenly spaced, per pot and lightly cover them with a little more compost.

Water well after sowing, but not again until seedlings have emerged. Germinate at 10-15C (50-60F).

Sowing Outdoors

Sow 2cm/1in deep and 10cm / 4in apart. Water daily until seedlings emerge.

Hardening off / planting

Plant out from March spacing 20cm (8in) apart. Support with canes or netting.

Special note

Do not allow seed pods to form as this will reduce flowering performance. Autumn sown seedlings are best over-wintered in a cold frame.
