Rudbeckia Rustic Dwarf
This mix of rich, autumnal shades looks great in massed plantings.
The bushy plants are strong stemmed and stand up well to wet and windy weather.
Rudbeckias still look good in early autumn, when many other flowers are past their best.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in warmth 15-20C (60-70F), and keep moist.
Growing on / thinning
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm (2in) apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when all danger of frost has passed. Allow 30cm (12in) between plants.
