Salad potatoes have firm waxy flesh and lovely intense flavours which make them perfect for eating cold in potato salads. You can also use them hot as new potatoes and because they remain firm and don't break up they lend themselves very well to dishes such as gratin dauphinois or even grated in rosti.

Salad seed potatoes are really easy to grow, plant from March to end of April and harvest from June to July.
