Sunflower Giant Single Seeds
Nothing beats the simple beauty of tall sunflowers. With a little feeding and nurturing, it is easy to grow plants to 4m (12ft) or more!
Loved by children and adults alike, the plants are quick growing and in autumn the attractive seed heads are great for providing wild birds with a treat.

Sowing Indoors
Sow individually in small pots of moist seed compost, lightly covering the seeds. Place in gentle warmth 10-15C (50-60F).
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds 2cm (1in) deep in pre-watered soil about 15cm (6in) apart in a row or in groups. Keep the soil moist until seedlings are well established. This out if seedlings appear to be overcrowded.
Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their flowering positions about 60cm (24in) apart from May onwards.
Special note
Sunflower seeds are delicious in a wide range of dishes.
