Sunflower Moulin Rouge Seeds
Something completely different - a sunflower with rich mahogany red petals and a black centre.
The freely branching plants each produce several heads, so it is easy to have plenty for cutting but still to leave some for garden display.

Sowing Indoors
Sow individually in small pots of moist seed compost, lightly covering the seeds. Place in gentle warmth 15-20C (60-70F).
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds 2cm (1in) deep in pre-watered soil about 15cm (6in) apart in a row or in groups. Keep the soil moist until seedlings are well established. This out if seedlings appear to be overcrowded.
Hardening off / planting
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their flowering positions about 60cm (24in) apart from May onwards.
Special note
Sunflower seeds are delicious in a wide range of dishes.
