Grow potato in your own plot with Accord; a dependable variety, so versatile in the kitchen. Accord works well as new potatoes, in potato salads and chips. So much so that fish and chip shops around the country choose Accord for their prize chips.

With a pleasant waxy texture they don’t disintegrate on boiling, steaming or roasting. In the garden they don’t disappoint; naturally resistant to scab they come out of the ground looking clean and without blemishes, ready to use in the kitchen.

How to plant:

Get the soil ready by raking the area after sprinkling some pre-planting Potato Feed over the area any time before planting your seed potatoes in March. Place your seed potatoes somewhere cool, dry and light over February so they create little short stubs (this process is called chitting) which will give you plants that grow better.

Useful tip:

Grow Accord in Gro-Sacks if you haven’t got beds but want to experience that home-grown goodness. Bury one to five seed potatoes to every Gro-Sack in spring in multi-purpose compost (this has a great free-draining consistency) and treat your plants to some Growmore for a welcome boost of nutrients. Pile soil up half the height of your stems continually as your plants get bigger to keep the actual potatoes well-covered at all times.
