Add these perennial flowers to your flower bed alternatively, spacing your plants around 16in (40cm) apart in all directions. An area of a square yard (square metre) will fit around 8-10 plants. So get hold of a few plants for a strong show of flowers which give impact to your garden and a praise-worthy comment or two from your impressed guests.
How your plants arrive
You receive 1 young plant in your pack. It arrives to you as a young plants containing a ‘plug’ of soil with roots running through them and some small green stems and leaves.
Although they are little they are the perfect size to get growing fast once you plant them up.
Your flower plant will arrive to you in a plastic bag in a bubble-lined envelope or a box for larger orders. The wallet allows your young plants to stay healthy by giving them an ideal humid air and root environment when it arrives to you. Check your plant is in its plastic bag, according to your order.
Can’t plant straight away?
If you cannot plant up your flower plant straight away into its permanent position make sure the plug of your plants is kept moist at all times.
You can place your plant on a saucer or tray of water so the plug is immersed at the beginning of the day. Keep an eye on the plant and take it out of the water once the soil is moist from absorbing the water beneath.
Keep your plants in a well-ventilated and light position in its plastic bag after giving them water. Look to planting in its permanent position within 5-7 days.
