£5.99 each

  • RHS Award of Garden Merit
  • Will flower well in full sun
  • Hardy Perennial - sow indoors or on a seedbed (April-June); transplant later to flower for many seasons
  • Attracts Bees

Shiny divided leaves give rise to dark stems and huge, almost spherical, beetroot-purple heads containing clusters of aromatic flowers, these are adored by butterflies and bees, while birds love the wonderful seed pods in autumn.

Angelica is a  tall monocarpic plant that will self seed readily. Give it plenty of space to grow and plant into rich, well drained soil in a sunny or part shaded position.

These plants are grown for their ornamental appeal but  angelica stems can also be cut and candied.
