Beetroot Seeds - Baby Beetroot Pablo
‘Pablo’ has won many prizes and it’s clear to see why. This wonderful beetroot produces exceptionally uniform and perfectly-rounded roots that have an attractive rich red core, excellent skin quality and can stand for a long period of time.
Being a F1 hybrid variety it naturally shows robustness and good disease resistance
How to sow beetroot
Seeds can be sown from March but will need to be sown under cloches to prevent bolting. Earlier sowing will require bolt resistant varieties. Sow seeds in drills 3cm (1in) deep and 10cm (4in) apart in rows 30cm (12in) apart.
Seeds can be sown in cell trays but need to be transplanted out as seedlings and is a less reliable method. Each “seed” produces several seedlings which will need to be thinned out when they reach 3cm (1in) high. Protection from birds may be necessary. Sow monthly for succession cropping.
