Blackberry Polarberry 2L Potted Plant

£12.99 each

  • Good in pots and containers
  • Will flower well in full sun
  • Hardy Perennial - sow indoors or on a seedbed (April-June); transplant later to flower for many seasons

Get soft-fruit breakthrough variety Polarberry- related to the blackberry it produces lots of juicy fruit every year. The fruit is white- so no blackberry stains on white clothes. Grow in the ground or in containers if you just have a patio or balcony.

The upright growth habit of NEW polarberry means it grows well in restricted space – we recommend you grow one polarberry plant in a 12in (30cm) diameter container or one per square yard (square metre) in a border of rich soil (add compost if your soil is sandy or stony).

Available in 2 litre pots, your plants are young and vigorous and with a good root network, naturally ready to produce lots of fruiting stems once you plant them up between September and March.

On arrival your plant may have some fruit but it will fruit in earnest in the first summer after it has seen through a winter after planting.

Cut back fruited stems to the ground in the second autumn and tie in the new leafy stems to supports- these will produce the delicious polarberry fruits for you to enjoy the following year.

Repeat this for each year.
