Front gardens - Great British Garden Revival
Warm November and December weather has resulted in lots of flowers on plants that that we would normally expect to have finished by now. Convolvulus cneorum is a beast to spell but a joy to grow! It's non invasive with silvery leaves and pearly pink flowers. This plant has been in flower here since July and shows no sign of giving up yet!
Of course the frost will stop those buds in their tracks but for now we're just enjoying the show.
Our garden here at Unwins is fairly small but it is ablaze with colour at the moment. The mahonias have turned from staid matrons of the border into dazzling Dior-scented divas!! It's a total transformation. Each tiny flower is a treat and clustered together in large spikes they are sensational.
Both these plants would be perfect for a front garden display.
