Blueberry Aurora and Bluecrop Duo Pack
Plant in twos for much more than double the amount of fruit!
Buy this duo pack of Blueberry Aurora and Northcountry and up your harvests of blueberries, great for growing in containers. Blueberries fruit more prolifically when planted in twos or threes as insects visit more flowers which turns to fruit, when there is more than one variety about!
Prolific blueberry variety that has an architectural square growth habit which looks great for a formal container display. A particularly vigorous variety producing lots of fruit from September and into autumn.
The large berries are dark in colour and have an impressive shelf-life once picked. The flavour is great too, which is rich and slightly tart, excellent for cheesecake toppings and compotes.
This is a compact variety which is ideal for growing in good-sized patio containers using ericaceous compost.
It's also very decorative with clusters of white blossom in spring and glossy green foliage which is at its most attractive as it turns to bronze in autumn.
Your plants on arrival
Plants arrive to you in a 1 litre pot with an already-established root network. The pot is wrapped in a polythene bag to keep the root area moist and kept in place with a layer of corrugated cardboard to keep it secured in transit.
This is further placed in a paper bag which is how it arrives to you. Simply remove all layers and replant to a larger container, firming in well. Use acidic ericaceous soil for your blueberries to thrive.
You can transplant containerised plants at any time of the year, just avoid transplanting into frozen soils in winter or in summer in the midday sun.
