Cauliflower Clapton - Plants
- Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit
- Resistant to troublesome clubroot disease
- Attractive white curds
F1 generation hybrid is a clubroot-resistant hybrid cauliflower giving you peace of mind that you get all the taste of home-grown caulis without the risk of them succumbing to troublesome clubroot. Clapton is a rewarding large-headed variety with impressive curds ready to pick in late summer.
With heads growing naturally high above the ground you get the added advantage of pure-white curds that stay super clean. Well protected by surrounding leaves, the white heads get additional protection from the soil.
We recommend you water regularly especially during the summer. Plant outside, leave 50-80cm (1 ½ -2 ½ ft) between the plants, in well-drained soil, making sure you water the plants in sunny spells. Keep an eye out for birds and slugs and protect using bird scarers and slug control.
Pick young when the pure white heads are about the size of a cricket ball and they are still be as super satisfying than if you pick later on.See Full Description +
