Add flowering quince – Chaenomeles Pink Lady to your garden. Fully hardy in the UK, this fantastic variety with RHS Award of Garden Merit offers you a shrub full of pink apple-like blossom in early spring just when you need that cheering up after a long winter.

After the display of blossoms, Chaenomeles Pink Lady puts on a flurry of fresh glossy leaves and in late summer the blossoms turn into decorative fruit that gives off a pleasant perfume. Grow near a wall and the spreading branches cover the brickwork with glossy leaves and flowers. With additional wire supports you can train Pink Lady to grow up the wall like a climber.

Useful Tip:

Avoid growing Pink Lady on an east-facing wall if you can. The melting frost can damage the blossoms- turning them brown in the early morning sun due to the quick thaw-action. Alternatively protect your shrub with horticultural fleece when frost is predicted.
