We despatch our fresh, nursery-grown live plants (including vegetables, trees and flowers) when they are at a stage of growth ready for you, the customer, to plant on at home.
The delivery period shown on your order confirmation indicates when you can expect to receive your order and we will endeavour to despatch your plants in this period within 7-14 days
Chilli Pepper Tokyo Hot- Seeds
A classic cayenne or chilli pepper, Tokyo Hot is not for the faint hearted! But if you enjoy curries and Mexican dishes, this is the one for you.
The fruits turn from green to red and add colour as well as heat to a wide range of dishes.
Sowing Indoors: Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, DO NOT cover. Place in warmth 18-25 Deg- C 64- 75 Deg –F
Growing on: Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from bright sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm (2in) apart into trays of potting compost. Grow in a minimum temperature of 15 Deg –C ( 60 Deg –F).
Planting out: Plant into growing bags or the greenhouse border 45cm (18in) apart when the first flowers have opened.
Aftercare: Water regularly and feed with liquid fertiliser as fruits begin to swell.
Harvest: August September, Peppers freeze well, simply de seed, cut into strips or rings and freeze raw. Ideal for adding to casseroles and stews.See Full Description +
