Crocus Miss Vain - Crocus Bulbs (Corms)
- An early start to your spring-flowering garden
- Uplifting blooms from February
- Fill awkward nooks and crannies
Crocus Miss Vain gives a pleasant and cheery start to the flowering season. The silver-leaf white-flowered variety is happy growing in full sun, in dappled shade, on heavy soils or in free-draining soil.
They partner well with yellow winter aconites for a lovely start to the spring. Alternatively plant the corms of white Miss Vain crocuses in containers and cover with a decorative layer of moss for the flowers to poke through in late winter.
Collect some flowering stems for a little vase indoors. Use a tumbler or novelty shot glass to keep them in perspective. Partnered with yellow aconites they flowers make lovely little windowsill displays.
If growing in containers we recommend you plant 12 bulbs for every 20cm (8in) diameter pot and plant in a free-draining bulb compost where the bulbs overwinter before bursting into flower in late winter.See Full Description +
