Crocus Prins Claus - Crocus Bulbs (Corms)
Was £4.99. Now £2.50
Crocus Prins Claus bulbs will sparkle in the garden with its pretty purple edged outer petals and pure white centres. Crocus bulbs bloom open wide in response to warmth and sunshine, showing off their golden stamens. But with their purple stained petals these crocuses are just as pretty when the blooms remain shut. Crocus bulbs provide a vital source of pollen and nectar for early bees and insects.
Crocuses goblet-shaped blooms lift the spirits when they appear; those cheerful flowers are a sign that spring really has arrived.
Plant crocus corms in autumn. Plant the corms around 2-3 times their depth, into free draining soil. Avoid planting crocuses in soil that gets waterlogged; on heavy soils add grit to the planting hole to prevent bulbs rotting. For a natural effect scatter the bulbs and plant them where they fall.
Planting crocus corms in grass. If you are planting a lot of crocuses in grass it's easier to gently lift an L-shaped flap of turf and space the bulbs out underneath the flap before carefully replacing it and firming down gently. The crocuses will push through the turf in spring to give a very natural effect.
Planting crocus corms in containers of bulb compost, or gritty free draining compost. Plant corms around 2-3 times their depth.
After care Let the crocus leaves die down naturally and don't be tempted to cut them back early. The foliage needs to absorb energy back to the bulb to ensure next years flowers.
How you receive your bulbs

Can’t plant straight away?
