Grow cucumber Passandra for a refreshing and zingy salad ingredient great for enjoying al fresco in summer.

Every plant regularly produces mid-sized rich, green fruit high in flavour when ripened in the sun. Growing solely female flowers you avoid male cucumbers which can be bitter and spiky.

These grafted plants are more vigorous and stronger than regular varieties.

Grafted vegetable plants;

-Are much more vigorous, producing larger, stronger plants.

-Are less susceptible to nutritional disorders.

-Have greater resistance to pests and diseases.

-Produce fruit earlier (by two to three weeks).

-Give higher yields of top quality fruit over a longer period compared with normal plants.

- Are particularly recommended for greenhouse growing, especially if planted directly into the soil.

Simply grow grafted plants like you would regular varieties. We recommend one plant for every 30cm (12in) diameter pot or one plant per station in a vegetable grow bag. Keep well-watered and treat the soil with a liquid feed high in potash (a tomato-feed is perfect) when you see flowers forming.
