Healthy looking bulbs. Looking forward to seeing th grow.
Really happy with the quality of the dahlia tubers - first time I've tried them so my keen gardener friends are helping, they particularly commented that they were good healthy tubers and they're coming on great.
Dahlia Pooh Swan Island - Dahlia Tubers
£4.49 each
Tall, collarette dahlia Ideal for growing as a focal point in beds and borders or to use for spectacular cut flowers. This Dahlia has been given the RHS award of Garden Merit (AGM) as a superb garden worthy plant. Bred in New Zealand its amazingly colourful, collarette flowers make a splash wherever they're grown.
Plant the tubers at least 20cm/8in deep and 75cm/30in apart when there is no risk of frost and the soil has warmed up. When stems are around 30cms/1ft tall start staking them. Dahlias will grow in almost any location and on most soils but they relish good, loamy, well-drained soil and lots of sunshine.
After care Deadhead spent flowers regularly to keep dahlias in bloom until the frosts.
Lift after the frost has touched the plants and store the tubers in a cool, dark and frost free place over winter.
