  • Good in pots and containers
  • Varieties suitables for cutting
  • Will flower well in full sun
  • Hardy Perennial - sow indoors or on a seedbed (April-June); transplant later to flower for many seasons
  • Showy and stunning
  • Use in flower borders of hot colours
  • Great in cottage gardens

A stunning show-worthy hardy perennial full of densely-filled flowers in fiery orange red. A perfect contender for a flower border with other hot-coloured plants like cannas, dahlias and lantanas.

Add Echinacea Hot Papaya to a sunny flower border; we recommend you place three young plants in a square metre area. If you just have a sunny patio or balcony you can grow Hot Papaya in pots; plant one young plant to a 30cm container and add some warm colour to your outdoor space.

Plant in good rich soil where they will thrive. Add multi-purpose compost to the flower bed if your soil is dry or shallow. This will improve the soil and your Hot Papaya plants will reward you with lots of flowers from June to August. Consider cutting some of the flowers off plant to place in some vases around your house.

Easy to care for, Hot Papaya is happy to grow unaided. Cut down stems from September and your flowers will rise again next year for bigger and bolder blooms.
