English Meadow Wildflower Collection - 10x Plants
£8.99 each
Replicate country meadows in an instant with this 10 plant collection of red field poppies, blue coneflowers, white and yellow ox-eye daisies, red campion and teasel. All these varieties attract, birds, bees and butterflies to bring your garden to life.
These varieties are perfectly balanced to create an effective wildflower mix. No variety will take over and they will grow amongst each other harmoniously for a pretty palette of colour.
You receive two plants each of:
Field poppy - Emotive for many reasons, this easy to grow plant grows best in the poorest of soils and with little care.
Cornflower - Once common in cornfields, it is perfect for naturalising in a sunny wildflower border and is loved by butterflies and bees.
Ox-eye Daisy - The classic wild white daisy; essential for a wild flower meadow or natural planting scheme and to attract pollinators.
Red Campion - Tall wildflower that has a long flowering period; flowers are most numerous in June but some last through to first frosts.
Teasel - After flowering, let the finches take the seed from the heads, then take the heads indoors for dried arrangements.
You just need to designate an area of your garden (around a square metre) for your 10 plants and these plants will flower in their first year. By mid-summer you will have created a charming and colourful flower mix which reflects a Van Gogh or Monet painting.
Once your flowers start to seed we recommend you shake the stems and let the seeds fall onto the ground for a bank of flowers the following year.
