Cobra is a green French bean, without stringy sides for pleasant eating, that can be grown as a runner bean outdoors or in a greenhouse for an earlier crop. Cobra gives you huge, deliciously tender and tasty crops of French beans and has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit for its suitability fro home-growing.

With vibrant and a la mode violet flowers, this is a vegetable plant attractive enough for a flower border. Tall yet compact in habit Cobra works well growing in beds with a little support. Use wigwam bamboos or trellis on a fence to climb up.

Collect beans by the handful as early as July from planting in May. This variety is great for the kitchen steamed or lightly boiled to accompany Sunday dinners. Enjoy harvesting with all the family.  Older member can pick higher up the plant while young ones can pick the lower-growing beans- saving you from crouching down.
