Nothing enchants like Fuchsia plants, with their 'ballerina skirt' flowers and naturally drooping habit they are wonderful plants for hanging baskets, viewed from below you get the full glory of those pretty flowers. But they'll also wow in patio pots and containers especially if you grow them as small bushes or elegant standards.
Fuchsias bloom for a long time and send up lots of flowering stems. Deadhead them to keep the display going until the frosts. If you bring your favourite half hardy fuchsias in over winter and keep them frost free they'll be ready to start into flower again next season.
Hardy fuchsias will stay in the soil all year, just give these hardy plants a layer of mulch in winter to protect their crowns and they'll be back up in the spring for another summer display.
