Jerusalem Artichoke - Fuseau
- Rare and satisfying potato alternative
- High levels of harvest
- Plants make an effective windbreak
Choose Jerusalem artichokes to grow on your own plot. They are satisfying nutty to taste and handy on the allotment as they form tall sunflower plants which grown together provide a handy windbreak to protect more tender crops nearby.
Jerusalem Artichoke Fuseau is a larger, smooth-skinned variety than regular Jerusalem artichoke, which makes Fuseau easy to peel in the kitchen for satisfying 'roasties'.
Expect about 2kg (4lbs) from every plant. Belonging to the sunflower family, you can grow Jerusalem artichoke as an informal summer screen, before harvesting the hardy roots in winter.See Full Description +
