£9.99 each

  • Will flower well in full sun
  • Attracts Bees
  • Flowering and productive vegetable
  • Great for allotments for sheltering plants
  • Great alternatives to potatoes
  • 10 easy-to-plant large tubers
  • Super-productive variety

Grow Jerusalem artichokes in your vegetable plot and look forward to big harvests of potato-like tubers that are easy to peel like carrots and slightly nutty in flavour and texture. Variety Fuseau gives you particularly large tubers that are great to roast or steam in the kitchen.

Plant the mail-delivered tubers in your soil in a row about 30cm (12in) apart. In late summer they grow into sunflower-like flowers which you can enjoy and the flowers bring in useful pollinating insects like bees.

As the flowers are tall (reaching around 2m) a row of Jerusalem artichoke Fuseau will provide the perfect windbreak for tender and medium-sized crops nearby like pea plants or near-to-maturing Brussels sprouts.

Useful Tips:

From around September cut down the flower stalks and dig up the tubers like you would potatoes. We recommend that you roast them or boil them and add to enhance a tasty vegetable stew.
