Lady Marmalade (Rose Of The Year 2014) -Bare Root
Few plants can add a dimension to a garden like a true English rose and for a variety to be given the accolade ‘Rose of the Year’ you know it must display exceptional qualities. It will have been through vigorous and independent trials in different areas of the UK over a two year period where new (unnamed) varieties are assessed for qualities such as health, novelty, scent and overall good looks. So if you are looking for roses with superb breeding and excellent garden performance then this is the collection for you. They are all floribundas – having many roses per stem – and will flower for you all summer long.
Rose of the year 2014, 'Lady Marmalade' is a wonderful Floribunda rose; its glossy green leaves contrast against bright tangerine blooms. With clusters continually coming all summer and autumn (with some dedicated deadheading). The blooms have a delightful spicy fragrance, with a cupped bloom opening from rounded buds. The fully open petals uncover a contrasting yellow centre with heavily reflexed petals.
Our roses are supplied bare root and dormant, ready to burst into life in spring. Excellent value for money, they have a minimum of three strong healthy stems to give you a well balanced plant and lots of flowers.
Bare root plants establish more quickly and can be planted much earlier than potted roses.
Our bare root roses will be delivered from October to end of April. The appoximate height of delivered bare rooted rose is up to 50cm/20in from root to tip.
Plant bare root roses from October-April into well prepared weed free soil. (See our rose growing guide for full planting instructions)
