Primula elatior, also known as the Wild Oxlip, are Perfect bedding plants for naturalising in grass or under shrubs.

This attractive woodland plant has drooping clusters of palest yellow flowers in spring.

Teamed with other woodland plants such as cowslips and wild primroses or bluebells, oxlips  make a wonderful addition to a wild flower border in a semi-shaded spot.

Oxlips prefer moisture retentive soil in partial shade and will also naturalise well in grass.

Flowers: April-May.
