Raspberry Autumn Treasure - Primocane
- Family-friendly raspberries
- Avoid pricey punnets from the supermarket
- Strong resistance to root rot
Introduce raspberry Autumn Treasure to your fruit and vegetable plot so you and your family can pick sun-ripe raspberries without travelling far and without paying over the odds at the supermarket
This rare spine-free variety makes easy picking of juicy and succulent fruits from August right through to October. As a primocane raspberry variety you can enjoy fruit in the first year you plant the canes.
Ideal for growing in small gardens we recommend you put the plants into large containers and train them up an obelisk or wigwam support.
This also means the fruit is much easier to net and protect from birds. The size of the berries produced by these canes is especially large and is a perfect choice for desserts and smoothies if the children have not eaten them all first.
If you are a keen organic gardener it also has strong resistance to root rot which makes it stand up well to disease even when you don't like to add liquid chemicals.
