Raspberry Autumn Treasure - Primocane x6

£9.99 each

  • Will flower well in full sun
  • Hardy Perennial - sow indoors or on a seedbed (April-June); transplant later to flower for many seasons
  • Spine-free
  • Lots of fruit from one plant
  • Even-sized berries

A rare spine-free autumn-fruiting variety which makes it easy to pick the tasty sweet fruits from June through to September. As a primocane raspberry variety you will also get fruit in the first year they are planted.

Grow a line of raspberry plants in an allotment or wall-side border at least 1m (3 1/2ft) apart. These primocane raspberries will put up lots of fruit every year. Just give your plants full sun and grow in extra rich soil. We suggest you add half a bag of John Innes No2 compost or well-rotted manure at planting time and when pruning fruited stems to the ground in late winter.

Your bare-root raspberry plants arrive to you in a plastic wrap and a good network of roots. Plant in the winter and they put down good roots so they are ready to put up many fruiting stems in spring. Because you plant them in winter the raspberries will be up to three weeks earlier than if you plant from April.
