Raspberry Canes - Leo x12 - Floricane
- Recommended by the Royal Horticultural Society
- Berries easy to pluck from central hulls for less mess
- Delivered to you as garden-ready bare-root specimen
Raspberry Leo rewards you will superior sun-ripe fruit for years and years. Simply plant in autumn, let the roots develop underground and strong stems will come up next year to give a small crop and then a handsome crop the following year and years after.
The raspberries of Leo are aromatic and fully flavoursome. They pluck easily from their central hulls which means you can harvest fast and without bruising fruit. No waste, mess or red stains.
With manageable, naturally upright growth the new stems are easy to tie in as they develop over the spring and summer months.
Ideas for the garden:
Your 12 plants are designed to give you a full row of healthy raspberry plants. Plant at the side of an allotment or as a protective hedge to filter the strong winds if you grow in an exposed site.
Treat your raspberry canes to a yearly dose of John Innes No3 compost and some pre-planting soft-fruit fertiliser. Bushes create a natural wind filter to nearby tender crops and bedding so the latter doesn’t get damaged or scorched by the wind.
How your plants arrive:
Your 12 raspberry plants arrive to you as bare-root canes with some temporary inactive stems but more crucially a healthy set of roots which are eager to get into the ground and grow well over the cold months to support strong stems from the following spring.
If you can’t plant your raspberry Leo canes straight away we recommend that you keep your bare-root plants in a cool, and light position (but away from direct sun) and keep the soil well-watered but not waterlogged. Aim to plant within 10 days from delivery.See Full Description +
