Rhapsody in Blue is a tall shrub rose with a strong scent. Its deep lilac- blue flowers fade to slate blue as the roses age. Their violet-blue colour is a breakthrough, bringing roses a step closer to the elusive blue rose! Rose Rhapsody in Blue was voted rose of the Year in 2003 and it remains a popular choice for beds and borders. It’s a healthy rose with a vigorous habit.

Rose Rhapsody in Blue is a good rose for growing at the back of the border, or let it grow either side of an arch or doorway where its strongly -scented flowers can be fully appreciated.

Rose Rhapsody in Blue has been given an RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM) as an excellent garden worthy plant.

Plant

Plant roses into good garden soil that has been well dug and weeded; improve poor soil with compost.

Dig a hole wide enough to take the roots of the rose without cramping. Position the rose centrally in the planting hole with the bump on the stem (the graft union) level with the soil surface.

Back fill with soil to cover the rose’s roots, firm in gently and water well.

Your bare root roses will be delivered at the right time for planting, normally between autumn and early spring, depending on weather conditions. Unpack them immediately and plant as soon as possible after delivery.

Your bare root roses will be sent out with full planting and care instructions.

Prune roses to shape in spring.

Deadhead spent flowers as they fade to prolong the display.
