  • Hardy Perennial - sow indoors or on a seedbed (April-June); transplant later to flower for many seasons

With a melt-in the–mouth texture and excellent flavour, this strawberry variety was the first ever to be shortlisted for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the year. Now here’s your opportunity to get this Chelsea-contender in your own garden, whether you grow them in pots or straight in the soil.

The delicious fruit is regular in shape for easy-picking which even young children can get involved in. The strawberry fruits are firm in texture protecting it from British weather. Did we mention its visual appeal? So pretty growing in pots.

We recommend you position your 3 small bare-rooted plants in rich soil in a pot with a 12in (30cm) diameter. Fill compost to 2in (5cm) from the top of the pot and firm down with a little pressure. Place plants evenly around the pot and bury the roots only. Water generously after planting. Do this anytime after autumn so they have the winter to develop their roots well.

From one plant expect a harvest in the first year of about half a punnet of delicious strawberries. In the second and third year you can expect a full punnet’s worth of strawberries each year.

In this pack of 3 plants you can expect more than 7 punnets of top-quality strawberries.
